Review # 1 was written on 2007-09-14 00:00:00 Jeromy Hutchinson Much of this “Explorer’s Guide” is somewhat dated, so some of the businesses mentioned may no longer be operating, and others may be operating, but under a different name. Still, there is much in this that is still worth reading, and if you drive an hour or so only to be disappointed that your destination is … gone, or changed, or isn’t what you’d hoped it would be, then there is something to be said for the beauty of the drive, itself.

Aspens, beeches, junipers and swamp maples are lovingly described, and the author's descriptions display an impressive level of knowledge of things he observed in the woods during his yearly rambles.
