Review # 1 was written on 2009-12-02 00:00:00 William Jones Short chapters on critters mostly specific to Texas. There are ringtails and horny toads and javelinas among others. Interesting stuff, but only average writing.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-02-10 00:00:00 John Hearon I really like to have fun and effortlessly learn something at the same time. This book delivered just that. It is a good mix of solid natural history, folklore, humorous quips and the author's own observations and experiences. Every chapter was very good the chapters on my two favorite critters, the Texas Horned Lizard and Mexican Free-tailed bats were super satisfying.
