Review # 1 was written on 2019-01-30 00:00:00 Scott Gliem This is a retold and abridged book from the classic original. The vocabulary was easy for me, who is learning English on my own. Lol! I rooted for the whale Moby Dick. The whaler's captain Ahab was a madman who only thought in killing Moby Dick, because the animal "ate" one piece of his leg. He was thinking that the whale was a devil, but the sea doesn't belong to the human race. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-08 00:00:00 Richard Santos Grades: PK-KG Summary: 18 songs, some based on nursery rhymes, tell little stories about lambs, chickens, pigs, mice, a squirrel, a sparrow, a pussycat, a boy, and more. Each song is accompanied by detailed instructions for a finger game and music for piano accompaniment. Review: These songs are easy to learn and teach. The illustrations are charming even if the clothes of the children depicted are clearly 18old fashioned 19. The instructions are perfect for teachers, parents as well as for children themselves and are easy to follow while still leaving space to build on. In class uses: - Learn as poems or as songs depending on children 19s inclination - Teach finger games to enhance fine motor skills, hand eye coordination teach body awareness and symbolic representation - Phonemic awareness: identify rhymes |
