Review # 1 was written on 2010-11-26 00:00:00 Tracy McWilliams Published about 10 years ago, some of the information on audiovisual/electronic materials is outdated. The rest of the books is especially useful for those of us just starting in the field. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-08-26 00:00:00 James Nunya This book is divided into several short well-cited articles addressing different aspects of serving your library's YA community. It is an succinct resource--most useful for me were the sample surveys, lists of popular YA magazines, and marketing dos and don'ts. Don't be scared by the wordy subtitle-the articles are readable and well-written. Recommend this book to anyone who works at a school or public library--it is not aimed solely at reference staff or library management, though this is the target audience. |
