This book contains many applicable examples for all levels of children's latino programming. The most common used elements would include finger plays, short poems and book suggestions. Each example is written out in spanish and english which is necessary for most bi-lingual story times. Also in this text are phrases of common dialogue that generally arise in a library setting. Again, the text is in spanish and english. The dewey decimal system is laid out in both languages which is suitable for a librarian's mental organization in the case that a spanish speaking patron desires something from a specific category. Lastly, there is a multitude of websites for outside resources.

A good guide to Spanish/English bilingual programming, though the books suggested are a bit out of date, and so this volume would be better if it was updated as it is now 11 yrs old. Thankfully there are a lot more Latino Children's literature out nowadays, and so this book would be greatly enhanced by their addition. It features fingerplays/rhymes, examples for storytime with/out puppets, and many booklists and websites. I liked that it also featured English and Spanish translations for commonly used phrases in the library, so that the librarians could more easily communicate with their patrons.
