It started of so nicely. The H Cass rescues Rachel from the sea - her beautiful blond hair reminds him of someone. Anyway he takes care of her in his house and she cooks for him. She told him she jumped off the yacht of a millionaire because he tried to rape her. There is some mystery there. As they spend time together you can see the H start to fall in love w her. In fact he proposes marriage so he can take care and protect her from the OM and from others who might take advantage of her. He is so sweet to her. He thinks she is too fragile to fend for herself even if he wants to send her back to London on her own. SPOILERS: and this is where it goes downhill: They are now engaged and go to Corfu ( the nearest big town) to do some shopping. They bump into the heroine's mother. Turns out Mom was the hero's old love that's why her hair reminded him of someone. Also apparently Mom was forcing Rachel to marry the repulsive millionaire so they can both be rich. But rachel didn't want to, which was why she jumped ship. Mom has been looking for her. The Hero Cass feels betrayed thinking she is like her mom. They go back to his house so she can pack. She is still trying to convince him to protect her because mom contacted OM in the hopes daughter can still marry him. OM shows up at H house and assumes they had an affair and slaps her. This is where it lost a star. I was already pissed at the H since he readily assumed she was a deceitful bitch when he found out who her mom was, then when OM shows up he didn't defend her! He only punched the OM when the OM attacked him. After that he leaves for England. Heroine stays in Greece working on a friends farm - she starts looking like a peasant because of the hard life! After 2 months, Cass comes back and proposes again. I guess the author wanted to show that he loved her no matter what she looked like. And probably to show that she was not a material girl. He explains that he stayed in England because he thought she would have gone back. He also said that he kept in touch with the mom to see if she had contacted her. He says he wasn't in love w the mom when he was young only infatuated with her image. Arrgh could have ended better!

A nice story. Lots of facts about Corfu, Greece. Interesting how Caspar and Rachel get together. I enjoyed it.
