[ All is well in Spain. The villa is vast. The overseer has an English wife and a boy the same age as nephew. Ailing grandpa is kind to heroine. Lot's of lovely descriptions of Spain and Seville in particular. Unfortunately, we have an OW who used be engaged to the dead brother until he went off to England and sowed his oats. OW is hanging around hoping hero will honor the broken engagement and marry her. Heroine spends an inordinate amount of time trying to decide if hero will marry the OW. She reads every interaction between them like tea leaves. (They have more interactions than the H/h) She also overhears conversations and gets the wrong idea about the hero's intentions when he does propose to her. Ailing grandpa helps out by offering to marry heroine in order to keep her at the villa. Hero is jealous of his own father and finally comes across with a bruising kiss. Heroine still isn't quite sure if the hero is serious, but when the bridal salon calls the next morning for an appointment to make her wedding gown, she knows it's the real deal. HEA (hide spoiler)]

[ Corrie's H's are famous for not being reasonable, and this isn't the first book where one has ordered the h to get a wedding dress -- the long white kind -- by next week, because that's when the wedding is. I can't think of better proof that these guys don't live in the real world/are overgrown children. (hide spoiler)]
