Review # 1 was written on 2010-12-08 00:00:00 Peter Gray this book was really good. i liked it because it captures the true feelings of emily, who is a young lady, and young ladies were sort of looked down on in those days. so she feels unimportant and stuff and she wants to do something that obviously her family doesn't want her to do. she wants to be an artist and anyway i think its just great. not really my level of reading, i should have read it three years ago, but yeah its good for kids twelve and under.

Review # 2 was written on 2009-11-16 00:00:00 Terrence Tanner I love Allen Sapp's paintings but until the recent (Oct 2018) controversy over Bouchard's Metis heritage is cleared up I consider this book cultural appropriation.
