I feel the need to preface this review with an explanation of why I rate books of this ilk so harshly: I love religious literature and am a big fan of Western theology. I hate shitty books. There. Now on to the review. There is nothing in this book worth reading, I would suggest Sgro just get a blog for all the good it'll do. The whole thing is a short overview of Mr. Sgro's person opinion on modern Christianity and how followers should live there in. He loves Jesus, he doesn't believe in "denominations", believes “the devil loves technology”, believes man is evil, yadda, yadda. He states things and does not give anything more than opinion to back them up. Here is where I'm really going to bitch and moan: At one point Sgro goes on a rant about in HIS day children didn't have video games or the internet. He had to actually research things using BOOKS. It wasn't as simple as typing a question into a search engine. 1. What does video games have to do with anything? When a prostitute in Grand Theft Auto yells "Oh God!" she isn't making a theological pronouncement. 2. Books from HIS day were written and published by a choice few people. The internet has made anyone an author whether they publish a POD, write a blog, or post on a forum. This has made the religious debate fluid, wide ranged, and a damn sight more honest (and entertaining) Religion and faith isn't something that is definable by a book, it's something that is definable by culture, practice, and society. Is there a lot of bull shit on the internet? Yes. Is there a lot of bull shit in books? Yes. This book is one of those. 3. The idea that being able to check Yahoo answers or some such one-stop-answer-shop makes research irrelevant is so asinine that I won't argue it. Not in a review to a useless book that no one will come across. Who appreciate it anyway? No one of any intelligence, to be sure, because real theological discussion doesn't take place on teh internetz. And finally... To answer the question on the back of his book, “Is religion confusing?” No. And don’t put yourself on the cover of your book, douche bag.

I really liked this book. He hit the nail on the head! Religious organizations with politicians involved do not want people to figure this out. I have realized that the only people who agree with me are the one's who aren't brain washed. He raffirmed my ongoing beliefs of how I feel about religious denominations and the politics/politicians that become involved. This has been and always will be an issue that I have had a problem with. So much hyppocracy and double standards. This Author knows what he's talking about. Thank you for the book Mr. Srgo ;-)
