Review # 1 was written on 2016-11-13 00:00:00 Raymond Dzik Excellent southern recipes with a bonus history of Miss Mary's hoarding house and the residents who use to call it home. Lynchburg, Jack Daniel's Distillery, and Miss Mary Bobo' s restaurant for lunch rank right up there as my favorite things to do and places to visit!

Review # 2 was written on 2014-06-15 00:00:00 Joachim Linden I love cookbooks and I especially love old cookbooks and on top of that this cookbook seems to flow in my Appalachian blood. Many of these recipes are reminiscent of the food I ate as a kid and, of course, the food I love to prepare now. I haven't used any of Miss Mary's recipe's yet (since I don't have any Jack Daniel's ;D) but I plan to! I also loved the history behind this cookbook. Wonder if I could get my DH to drive me through Miss Mary's hometown the next time we're that way?
