Fuming is the last thing I have expected from this dainty little book that wades through numerous philosophical concepts of which the English philosophical tradition up to the time of writing (1959) was comprised. The simple treatment has proved enough for his point about metaphysics, and my poor appetite. Little did I find the conclusion insightful, partly due to an alienness arisen from the drastic change of the subject-matter that has experienced from his point of departure, another cause being my uneasiness to finish the book. He maintains that philosophy be philosophers’ tasks without a pinch of arrogance going unnoticed. I found the pedantry boring.

They are all here, Ayer, Austin, G.E. Moore, even Wittgenstein who is considered to be an English philosopher.
