This is a good treatise on terrorism, though the reason I gave it only four stars instead of five was that it seemed more focused on terrorism of Middle Eastern origin than terrorism in general. Cited examples were almost universally of Middle Eastern terrorists. I found the final chapters of the book to be of greater value to the understanding of terrorism in general than the leading chapters. Although I didn't take this into account when giving my rating, one thing that was disturbing was the quality of the book itself. My copy had the first half of the book's pages literally glued together at the edges, necessitating separating them with a knife so the book could be read. Also, the printing of some pie graphs solely in shades of grey that I highly suspect were originally in color made those graphs very difficult to read.

An interesting study in the psychology of terrorism and radicalisation.
