The largest part of this book is the German Hymnal (in German and English) of the Monks of the Ridge, the community led by Johannes Kelpius on the Wissahickon Gorge in the late 17th, early 18th century in what is now known as Philadelphia.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-10-01 00:00:00 Mona Varner A fantastic illustrated historical reference of the world's instrumental traditions and western classical music. I was disappointed on the section devoted to the banjo, but considering the amount of material covered this encyclopedia is still a valuable source.
