In four brief but informative chapters, Animal Encounters focuses on saving the life of a beached dolphin, training Border Collies to keep public parks free of Canada Geese, efforts to keep mountain lions away from public areas, and Indian attempts to protect the health of elephants and lower the number of elephant attacks. The intriguing encounters are detailed in simple, straightforward text. Engaging, full-color photographs of animals and scientists at work appear on every spread. Each title in this "True Tales" series begins with a table of contents and includes an introduction, glossary, index, and resources for further learning, making the series useful for student research projects.

This is a great book to use when studying the life cycle of a frog. The book explains each stage of a frogs life in great detail and does a great job labeling everything in the illustrations.
