Review # 2 was written on 2010-11-30 00:00:00 Peter Renskoff This book was not a "how-to" book on building relationships with students. Instead, it was a collection of stories from this Los Angeles County teacher of the year's interactions with his family and students because of the relationships he developed with them. What I take away from this book is Bowen's appreciation for every child's unique needs and capabilities. His passion can be felt in each of his stories. He is passionate about respecting every child and helping each realize they should dream. He reminds me of the teachers at EH :)
