Review # 1 was written on 2011-07-31 00:00:00 Matt Brennan I loved this book, and am grateful that Earl Maquinna George took the time to share his experiences and perspectives in this form. I'm also grateful to Sono Nis Press for publishing them. Would that more First Nations' people might share their stories as Earl Maquinna George has. Highly recommended as an example of how one hereditary chief of one First Nations people understands their relationship to their traditional territory, and to the plants and animals living within it, as well as to the federal and provincial governments. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-03-28 00:00:00 David V Gutierrez Beautiful and inspiring perspective from a hereditary Ahousaht Chief. A moving historical but personal narrative. I loved it, I wished it was longer. I would read many more stories like this. |
