Kaori Ozaki, Immortal Rain, vol. 6 (Tokyopop, 2005) After the cliffhanger ending of volume 5, I couldn't wait to rip into this one and find out what happened. Of course, it's pretty much the same thing that happens any time a character falls out a window in a cliffhanger, but Ozaki throws in a nice twist on it. The end result is that after getting so close to being reunited, Rain and Machika are pulled apart yet again, except now Rain is free, so they're capable of looking for one another. Meanwhile, Eury Evans seems to have switched sides and is now tagging along with rain, while the Calvaria camp produces a new hunter, Dora Folk (in a quick aside, Ozaki mentioned Folk is the last main character who will be introduced in the series). Immortal Rain stays interesting and fun. Kiki eat strange fish? ****
