Review # 1 was written on 2014-11-20 00:00:00 Debra Clary I read the kids version of this, but it had every detail. It had a lovely timeline following the reader throughout the bottom of the book as each page was turned. This book has wonderful illustrations and photographs that depict Galileo's magnificent discoveries and treacherous trials. National Geographic Kids does a wonderful job of not being too easy on young readers- it pushes them to read above their reading level and knowledge base. This is always good, but it does not go too far, either. It has the perfect balance. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-12-03 00:00:00 William Simmons It is a good introduction of Galileo for a child. However, facts sort of feel bombarded, without much connection, as a presentation of his life. Cultural History is used very well. |
