Review # 1 was written on 2008-11-21 00:00:00 Christine Nelson Wow!! This book is HILARIOUS! Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson were rockin awesome with their Peter and the Starcatcher stuff, but this is a whole new level of fantastic. I rated this so high because I can't remember when I laughed so hard. I can't say I love it in the same way I do some of the other books I rank this high, it isn't life altering but it is really entertaining. I read the book via audio and the guy who does the voices is riotously funny but the story, the plot twists and characters are just stellar! In particular, one character the reader made sound so much like Christopher Walken that I can't see anyone else playing that part should it ever become a movie. This is definitely aimed at the younger set, but thankfully not so young that adults can't enjoy. I would guess anyone ages 8 and up would love it, and anyone who has endured either Middle School or being 13 will just love it. It has no profanity, and it blessedly free of any more than a blush between teenagers as far as affection. If you enjoy reading for fun, this is the book for you! I highly recommend it and I cannot wait to read this aloud to my kids...they're getting it for Christmas! Yes!!

Review # 2 was written on 2014-01-22 00:00:00 Khoa Vo My inner studious literature professor wants to give this book 1 star because it's corny, long, and definitely not well-written. But the lighthearted book lover inside me is screaming, "This book is so drop-dead hilarious and so outrageous, it is the best book ever!". Of course, it's not the best book ever, but this writing duo is destined for popularity. With Pearson's storytelling experience, and Barry's wicked comedy, you won't be marvelling over the genius and poignancy of the story, but be wishing madly for a sequel that has just as much madcap action, nonstop laughter, and utter cheesiness as this.
