Unbeknownst to Sei, Yamanami learns her secret when he falls in love with Akesato, the courtesan who has been covering for her by pretending to be her lover. Will this mean trouble for Sei or has she gained an ally? Later, the Shinsengumi face battle once again in the Kinmon rebellion, during which fire is set to Kyoto to disastrous consequences. I got a little impatient with the first part of the volume, though ultimately with Yamanami learning about Sei's true indentity it actually ended up serving the development of the plot rather than just being more filler, but all in all I'm enjoying the series more and more.

Even though I haven't read all the volumes in this series, I still enjoyed it very much! I really like the plot, the characters, the setting, everything is very nice and the covers are so beautiful too! So if you like romance, historical fiction and manga you will definitely enjoy this work! :)
