The battle against Darkloid Megaman reaches its conclusion; Tomahawkman and the Colonel appear first as allies, then as enemies - due to the potential strength of a true Megaman and Bass Double Soul, the Netopia military wants to keep Megaman imprisoned. Though he escapes, life as a fugitive isn't easy. More Double Soul means more power-of-friendship cliches; this volume, like the previous few, is full of them. That doesn't mean that it's not fun, though; Tomahawkman and Bubbleman provide comic relief that lessens the seriousness of the Darkloid and fugitive-Megaman situation. One question, though - if the order to capture Megaman was given to all official Netbattlers, shouldn't Lan have been contacted? Or perhaps questioned when Megaman escaped? It seems unlikely and unusual that Lan would continue on with normal school life while his Netnavi - deemed a criminal - attempts an escape. Overall, the art is great. This series is perfect for younger readers or folks looking for something that doesn't require too much thinking.
