Review # 1 was written on 2013-01-02 00:00:00 Lyle Estep I only found 2 recipes that I thought might be worth trying. One was an asparagus recipe that sounds divine! This book was filled with anecdotes often relating to either the recipe of an item in the recipe. I found that most of the recipes incorporated ingredients that most people would have in their kitchen or could find in a grocery store (no trip to an specialty shop). My personal tastes were such that I didn't really enjoy all the little personal details. I felt like I was reading their dialogue of inside jokes--and I didn't get them and/or find them very interesting. Try this cookbook. It has some good recipes. And you'll love this book if you're into trivia and other people's thought patterns.

Review # 2 was written on 2010-05-31 00:00:00 RENEE POLIT Great cookbook with yummy recipes. Not only is it visually stunning, but it adds a great bit of sense of humor throughout the pages with silly pictures, and equally funny quotes from both authors and the famous. I tried two of recipes listed in the book and was mostly happy with the results. A fiesta salad, and a chocolate, PB and banana frozen pie. Both recipes turned out delicious but weren't quite accurate - For example, the pie states you should freeze the pie, but it makes it impossible to cut the chocolate at the bottom of the pie (even after letting it sit as the recipe states). Overall I would definitely recommend this cookbook.
