Review # 2 was written on 2016-01-17 00:00:00 Steven White This is a short, rather involved study of a set of individuals. The set doesn't assemble until a good third of the book. By then, a number of parameters are set and then it's just a matter of see the end of the book coming up and trying to figure if this is a western version of Ten Little Indians or Vince Flynn action book. It's a bit of both. Patten, again, proves he can pack a pound into an 8 ounce can with a good taste afterwards. Sure, there is a kinda expected ending, but how it comes about it well done. This book would not have worked a few hundred pages longer, as would be required today. Bottom line: I recommend this book. 7 out of ten points. |
