Growing up without a Dad was definitely a life challenge for me so not only could I relate, but a few times I caught myself feeling as if I were the main character in this book. Having been recently married, "And there'd be no dancing on Daddy's big feet, No twirling or twisting to that rock and roll beat" made me shed a tear or two. Loveless gave a wonderful job of clearly emphasizing in this book the importance of a father, not just because of the great tasks they do, but the mundane ones as well. Children of all ages take their parents for granted most of the time. The illustrations of Dennis Hill breathe life to the fun and light-hearted poetry of Loveless. The one part of this gift book which I found to be most essential is at the end where there is a page for the gift-giver to inscribe a personalized message to their father. What If There Were No Dads? is a perfect gift for any dad on any occasion.

The tile is really interesting and the first two or three chapters are good. When they go through every detail repeating the process it becomes fairly dry and repeative. To me it seemed pretty basic: what's really transforming about our ministry. Then look at history, Scripture, trends and people to make changes. If you don't have a team that is willing to see blind spots in your ministry the process won't be effective. To do the process alone would be very difficult to do.
