Review # 2 was written on 2020-06-12 00:00:00 WREN MASSEY This play contains the heart of one man's journey home from exile in the United States to his boyhood homeland of Cuba. Machado playfully addresses the topic of homophobia; exile; people sufering from the embargo on both sides of the "Cuban issue," and a the trouble of going "home" to a place which is held fast in childhood images, hopes, and dreams. He gives a clear message to his readers and those who takes sides on both ends of the issue: make peace; get over it; move on.
