Review # 1 was written on 2011-02-13 00:00:00 ktqxqtcy catuiile I wanted to know whether to keep my business as an LLC or switch to an S Corp as I start making a profit. This book spells out the pros and cons of each business structure and situations when you would want each. Exactly what I wanted--thanks! I <3 Huntsville Public Library for owning this book!!! I am surprised that it's pretty down on S Corporations, but for my needs, even according to the info in this book, that seems to be the way to go for me. Less payroll tax ftw! The book is well written--it takes a complex topic and explains it clearly. It's also organized well, so you can skip the parts you know you don't care about. (Ex. partnerships--there's just one of me, so I know I won't be doing a partnership.) As with any book, I wonder what changes have happened since it was written to make its advice inaccurate, but it gave me enough of a clue to ask good questions of my tax advisor, so it was still very useful.
