Definitely a must-have for any horse racing enthusiast. There's a wealth of information here that's just so interesting. I wish there were books like this for the Preakness, the Belmont, and several other important races as well. On a side-note, the editors probably should've given this book more than just a passing glance. There were little errors and typos here and there (and even a photo that went in twice, for two different horses) that got irritating after a while. Probably won't bother many other people, but there you have it.

Although the writing isn't fantastic, and could use an updated edition, this gives a nice concise history of the race. Easy, easy reading for derby fans who don't want to be bogged down in details.
