Review # 1 was written on 2018-12-02 00:00:00 Lenore Penley I've always wished I had taken a music theory class in school, so when I found this book in a thrift shop for 25 cents, I thought I might be able to teach myself. Three chapters in, however, I realized that I need an instructor to help me understand the book! Maybe someday I'll learn music theory, but it's not going to be today.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-11-13 00:00:00 Priscilla Mutnansky I love glossaries, but this one doesn't have any of the terms that one would actually want to look up (it has "boogie-woogie" but not "hemiola" or "appoggiatura"...not too helpful for Quizlet-making). Aside from that, I love it a lot and it's the one textbook I didn't grow to despise this year.
