Review # 1 was written on 2011-10-06 00:00:00 Mark Bignell This book is one of six books in a series of books covering the origins of Marvel Superheroes. Each book in the series is short and sweet and to the point but don't sell them short. They are not children's books. They are a historical record of the superhero complete with timelines, highlights, and glossaries, reading lists, bibliographies and indexes. They include comic book art and historical images to supplement the text. This book deals with the Iron Man character. Created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, the first Iron Man comic book was in 1963. Iron Man has proven to be one of Marvel Comics most popular heroes.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-08-13 00:00:00 Michael Azzarello I really enjoyed Jeff Zornow's illustrations. Although I must observe that the character designs reminded me strongly of the old 1949 Disney film version of Irving's tale. Still, in one way this resemblance actually heightened my enjoyment of Zornow's artwork. It helped his depictions feel familiar while still appearing more grown-up than the Disney animation.
