So far, I've read Anthony Pinn's intro and two of the essays (Katie Cannon's "Sexing Black Women" and Traci West's "A Space for Faith"). I totally dig Cannon's boldness and got some new reads from her footnotes. Also, I was real happy to see that Traci West found it important to reference an old, outta print novel by Ann Allen Shockley (_Say Jesus and Come to Me_), one that features a black lesbian minister -- maybe the only one of its kind. It is worth looking at this text (even if just for a skim). Especially if you're a religion mixed with other disciplines junkie like me :o)... I'll let you know a tad more when I finish up (if you want).

Very informative. I don't read a lot of non-fiction, but this is a topic I'm very interested in. Nice historical perspective.
