Review # 1 was written on 2015-10-26 00:00:00 John J Garrison I was kind of disheartened to find out that this book is not something I had anticipated.This is neither an original scholarly work nor an easygoing historical one.Chronology was barely maintained & that is why I had a hard time comprehending the resources.It certainly has it's audiences but unfortunately excludes me.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-12-06 00:00:00 Francis Fallot I loved this book. It is a great introduction to the antiquarian past of Delhi. The book's emphasis on monuments, literary texts, archaeology and local legends, provided a very balanced study of Delhi's history. A must read for not just history students but for all those who are curious about Delhi's antiquity.
