A wonderful college level manual that, with adjustments, would still serve Latter-day Saints well today. His practical and wise approach to religion takes the pressure away from debate about religious truth and places emphasis on practice and moral development.

Lowell L. Bennion was LDS Institute Director at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City for many years. This is a first edition of his distillation of those years of teaching the history of the Latter-day Saints to thousand of college students. Although written in 1940 and meant as a text book for college students, I found it of great value as I studied LDS history and life in the LDS Church over its 110 year history (up to that date). This book was originally in the Heber J. Grant Library at Brigham Young University, where I purchased it in 1963 when they sold off old books.
