Review # 1 was written on 2014-12-16 00:00:00 Randy Reeves There is a rich literature on the effects of the Milwaukee voucher plan experiment, designed to enhance student academic achievement. Those intersted in the subject would be well advised to read a variety of analyses of this innovation. Witte was the official evaluator of the program. This book is his effort to report findings. In short, he finds little to suggest that the voucher program did much to increase student performance. As noted before, there have been a number of studies of this voucher plan. But, to make sense of the matter, this should be one of those sources taken into account.
