Review # 1 was written on 2016-03-30 00:00:00 Grant Meek Let's just say this is the worst book ever and definitely NOT worth the money. Doesn't explain concepts well, needs to narrow down to the meaningful content and needs to ELABORATE MORE on the meaningful content. It's a big book for no reason. Only thing this heavy book was good for was seeing the Homework assignments the professor wanted us to look at but it did NOT help beyond that. Maybe it just wasnt for me. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-06-23 00:00:00 Andrew Godbee I learned about: --The development of bottled water. --The invention of the paper bag. --The development of duct tape. I skimmed: --Everything else. I am not joking: at one point, Petroski gives a long-winded account of ordering dinner from a design perspective. He talks about "designing" your dessert. "To Engineer is Human" was a good book; this is not. |
