I want to equip my students to "soar into life with competence and confidence" but like a lot of gimmicky books written on the topic of parenting (I'm thinking of my recent attempt to read Parking Lot Rules) this book rarely scratches the surface and spends most of its time talking about sports. Yes, sports. Which actually wasn't so bad because there are a lot of good examples and role models for kids to think about and try to imitate but if you were a parent (or teacher like me) hoping for something more practical you could do tomorrow this book is yet another let down in the cannon of parenting books.

One of the better books I've read out there this book has some fantastic tips for raising your child's confidence and general sense of self esteem and well being. I recommend this to all parents seeking a more confident happy and respectful son or daughter at any age.
