Review # 1 was written on 2008-07-01 00:00:00 Lindsie Garrett I know Germany, and I know many travel books. I'm partial to Rick Steve's as he has the same travel style I do, however, I have to give this book 5 stars. It is the ONLY one I've seen cover the Sachsen area outside of Dresden. It includes the previously unknown treasures with which I'm quite familiar. This guide is written in detail, but done in such a way as not to be boring and make you *drift off*. It's a guide I'd actually take with me (and I just don't do that! lol). I'm fairly critical of travel guides, but I'm impressed here. :)

Review # 2 was written on 2014-03-30 00:00:00 Michael Arnold Great guide with lots of detail about Germany, all its regions, accommodation, and all the possible activities one can engage in when in Germany. There are also some colour panels. The only bad thing about this book is that, having been printed in 2009, it is slowly becoming obsolete due to its nature as a travel guide.
