Justine Kroft dies the night her daughter is brutally kidnapped, raped and murdered. At least on the inside. Nothing else matters but seeking justice on the men who performed this unspeakable act against her beautiful daughter Brittany. She begins to investigate herself since it seems the police aren't doing a thorough job of it and encounters one of the men. But Justine soon realizes that she isn't strong enough to kill him and is about to meet her maker, when a 350 year old vampire, Simone Gireaux, saves her life. Justine has nothing to live for. Sure, she is attracted to Detective Harry Fitzgerald and she only has one friend, Teresa Diaz, but she cannot go on with her life until Brit's murder is avenged. She asks Simone to change her into a vampire, so that she can have the strength and the speed to kill the men who seem to be superhuman. Teresa's daughter vanished a few months ago, and the story out is that many young girls have disappeared over the past few years. Coincidence? Justine may have a new hunger in her immortal life and not just seeking justice, but will it be enough? The men who were involved with Brit's death are just the icing on the cake, the real killer is Stephan Sinakov, a Master Vampire of the Sinakov Family and he is very powerful. He will do what it takes to remove Justine from thwarting his plans, even if it means the lives of Teresa and Harry.

STORY-LINE BLOOD JUSTICE: Author David Burton's Blood Justice is riveting, intense, and an original take on Vampire stories. A brutual murder occurs, and Justine's life changes forever. Her daughter's horrendously evil murder kills all the life, spirit and good inside Justine. As a result, she now lives for vengeance. However, it is not long until Justine realizes the murderers are not normal men. Upon meeting 350 year old vampire, Simone, Justine realizes vampires exist and one family master needs to die. With the help of her best friend Teresa, Detective Harry Frazer, and Simone, Justine sets out to bring justice for her slain daughter and all the missing daughters. Consequently, Justine, forced to make life changing decisions, will live with her choices forever. Will Justine find justice for her daughter? Can the love of good man, change the course of Justine's life? What does the future hold for Justine and company? Grab your favorite beverage and take a seat, my contemporary urban vampire novel review of Blood Justice follows. CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT: Firstly, let me say, how much I enjoyed this novel. An original story-line, Author David Burton crafted a first-rate vampire thriller. Burton filled this novel full of emotion, and developed those emotions throughout the book. I could feel the anguish and desperation of Justine as the mother of a brutally murdered child. I could feel her resolve for vengeance and her need to become more to fulfill her resolve. Portraying the evil and cruel side of vampirism, Burton skillfully developed his vampire characters. Also, including a human love interest for Justine was a stroke of genius. In almost all vampire novels, the love interest of the heroine's a tall, dark, handsome vampire, Burton changed up the standard premise for Blood Justice. Filled with nonstop action, the reader's brought further and further into Justine's world as he creates heroines worthy to fight the evil invading their world. Additionally, in concluding my contemporary urban vampire novel review of Blood Justice, Burton included a few surprises near the end of the story. I would not hesitate to buy this book for anyone who enjoys vampire thrillers. BLOOD JUSTICE RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4 In addition, I gave Blood Justice 4 well-deserved stars. This novel's well-written, with well-developed characters, an original premise and non-stop thrills. Although, Blood Justice includes love scenes and Burton crafted the scenes with skill. I recommend this novel for young adults and adults due to violence and love scenes. FINALLY, PLEASE NOTE: Additionally, I received this book from the author and chose to voluntarily review the book with an honest contemporary urban vampire novel review. Lastly, book reviews of any novel are dependent on the book review author's opinion. Consequently, all book reviews on-line and on my blog, are my opinions. In addition, the ARC did not affect my voluntary contemporary urban vampire novel review.
