Review # 1 was written on 2014-08-14 00:00:00 Ryan Brownlie From the outbreak of World War II, through the 2008 Democratic Primary and 178 notable to necessary historically moments of importance in-between. This book was extremely helpful in covering both U.S. and World events with my daughter over the last two years of our homeschooling journey. Each event may have only been a brief two page summary, but from that I was able to plan out what materials to order from the library to further expound on; significant moments I otherwise may have overlooked. A must have addition in any middle/high school library and classroom.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-04-26 00:00:00 Patricia A. Ready This book was fabulous. I read every event that was written here and knew about most of them. Now I only lived through ones listed in the 90s and so on. This book was published in 2007 so the last major event covered was Hurricane Katrina. But wow this was insightful, thoughtful, probing, I learned so much, I increased my knowledge about so many things and saw pictures I had never seen before about events I have read about, researched and watched videos of. This was very well done and I hope to see more books out there like this covering present times. I would own this.
