Review # 1 was written on 2012-12-23 00:00:00 Richard Santos They call it the Bedford Challenge. Read the entire book cover to cover. On June 9th, 2013, I completed the Bedford Challenge. There were actually several good stories in here and I really enjoyed the challenge. Most of the ones that we read for my AP Literature class were depressing and difficult to wade through, but upon further inspection the Bedford really does have some great and interesting literary pieces. The way it is structured is the best I've seen in a textbook. The different insights into literature that Michael Meyer has gathered in this book really are worth the read.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-12-06 00:00:00 Ronald Westman It's a really good book, but I prefer the more compact later edition. My complaints about this begin and end with it's big, floppy size. It's too thick, taller than I like (but not too bad in the scope of textbooks) and pretty heavy.
