| Review # 1 was written on 2010-07-06 00:00:00 Amanda Hoeschele My copy is titled, Survey of Russian History, 1944. On pg: 151: My first survey of Russia, with no other Russian survey to compare it to, I'll make this my four-star bench-mark. Well organized, with just enough detail for my liking. Page 258, so far, the entire book has been compact: masses of information packed into every page demanding the reader to possess a catalogue of information in advance on history, politics, geography, etc, and keep up with the rapid pace. Reading with my Harper Collins Atlas of World History open to pg 214 has been a big help. In short, not light reading. |
