Review # 1 was written on 2019-10-03 00:00:00 Maria Ellege Strangely disappointing for Longfellow. Perhaps because it was stand-alone poems, collected poems from his young life, and translations of foreign works. He's still a good poet; this work just lacked the story-telling charm of other volumes of Longfellow I have read.
