Review # 1 was written on 2020-04-05 00:00:00 Peter Mason "You must let yourself be fooled, more or less, to live at all." And we're finally done with Strindberg for our literature class. I am aware that there are quite a lot of religious motives and symbols in this play and I feel like the reason why I didn't like it was simply because I didn't understand them nor do I want to. Better than Spöksonaten for sure, though. |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-08-25 00:00:00 Luke Schwarz I find it hard to rate classic plays like these two, because I know how great they are and the meaning they have had for playwriting in general. Based on what I know and what I've learned about it in UNI I would give this 5 stars, but based on my enjoyment much less... Let's just put it like this, I really appreciate Strindberg's works, and I truly liked these two plays, however I get easily bored, and that is just who I am. Enjoyment: 2.5 stars The literature student in me based on these works significance: 5 stars |
