Diaries of the beloved author of children's books. Highly intelligent and educated as a physicist and yet she chose to write children's books. She experiences the highs and lows of life as any other person would and notes that it is the simple pleasures in life that are the most pleasing. The only exception being when she was granted an honorary D.Litt. which she was very please to have received. She also writes about the people she met and who worked for her and she's not afraid to state who rubbed her the wrong way and why! I suppose we all do in some way or other. There are no earth shattering revelations or discoveries here. Just someone who, perhaps, for the most part was satisfied with life. Anyway, if you like to read published diaries then this may be worth your time.
