Review # 1 was written on 2011-04-04 00:00:00 Bernard Bani I enjoyed this. It is set in Mississipp in 1964, where Jubilee Starling has grown up. Her mother is a blues singer who is found brutally murdered in her red Chevy. It is not a mystery but more about how the family and Jubilee deal with her death.

Review # 2 was written on 2007-11-13 00:00:00 Peter Chappelow When Jubilee gets ready to go to school her dad finds her mom dying. She had benn stabbed through the chest.
