Review # 1 was written on 2015-01-23 00:00:00 Bernie Marlow Part of a three book series, this volume depicts areas of Asia, Oceania, and Africa which were featured in major motion pictures up through 2008, the date of its copyright. It is not very helpful as a travel guide but if you have a burning desire to learn more about an area that was the focus of a favorite movie, then this book does satisfy that need. Supplemented with great photography, this is a nice companion to a normal travel guide if you happen to be visiting an area and felt the need to learn more about how a specific scene or story was depicted in a film. Without any interest in film, this is not a very useful supplement when traveling.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-05-23 00:00:00 Daniel Gubman Not very useful actually - not as a travel guide and not as a movie guide, not having enough details of either. It's just a (seemingly random) listing of "these movies were filmed here" with anecdotes. I got the whole series at a sale, not sure if I will keep them.
