Review # 1 was written on 2014-12-13 00:00:00 Stanley Tate The first time I saw the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant, I was blown away. I went expecting a decent church production, and what I got was something Broadway would be hard pressed to match. Of everything I was impressed with, the biggest treat was the narrator. One Mac McConnell. So it should be no surprise that McConnell can tell a story. Bozra follows a young Bethlehem shepherd at the time of Jesus's birth. For one reason or another, Bozra spends his whole life missing chances to meet Christ. Until it matters most. I enjoyed this book, and I plan on getting the rest of McConnell's books. Brag: Not only do I have an autographed copy of this book, not only did I get to speak directly with the author to get insights into the writing, not only have I consequently served in the pageant with Mac McConnell, but I also got personal, private coaching from him. Try to get that with Stephen King. |
Review # 2 was written on 2008-08-20 00:00:00 Mario Vela Mac McConnell's writing always takes the reader on a journing into the possibilities of life in historical fiction. His writing as a dramatist is rich and realistic and you can hear his voice in the characters. |
