A book that portraits the cities of Alliance, Beatrice, Bellevue, Broken Bow, Columbus, Fremont, Kearney, Lexington, McCook, Nebraska City, North Platte, Ogallala, O'Neill, Papillion, Plattsmouth, Scottsbluff-Gering, South Sioux City, Syracuse, Wahoo, Wayne and York in a cooperative effort of 22 newspapers. Each city's history is featured along with famous people that are worth mentioning as well as attractions worth visiting. All this is paired with information about schools, industry and economy. A very informative and interesting book with the exception that it was published in 2004 and some of the then current information may not be accurate anymore eleven years later.
