Review # 1 was written on 2020-09-14 00:00:00 Brandon Galloway I may never get hold of these books about the Ukraine, but are on my wishlist to remind me to look out for them. While the Ukraine interests me I am actually looking for books about preWW1 migrations into and from the Russian - Belarus area, so if anyone knows of any please let me know. (incl. biographies,histories,memoirs etc.) Thanks.

Review # 2 was written on 2009-06-06 00:00:00 Debbie Mcintyre There are quite a few wonderful stories in this slim volume (the story of the farmer's son & his relationship with the farm worker's daughter was particularly powerful). But it also contains a number of stories that didn't speak to me at all. This is my first experience of Nadine Gordimer's writing, and I've come away with a middling verdict.
