Review # 1 was written on 2018-08-05 00:00:00 Shawn Thede I just loved the book and the marketing strategy that they advocate which is sound. The book also does not waste your valuable time. The author does not try to fill pages, his single minded focus towards the Marketing Equation keeps the book in context from the first page to the last. The Case studies are impressive, more so because they are derived from the first hand experiences of the author who isn't merely a preacher but also a full time practitioner of his theories, which adds more credibility to his marketing theories. The author performs an audit of the business to understand its business model and the product features and how it is different from its competition before designing a custom marketing campaign for the company, using the marketing equation. I just loved the way the author put the theory in an extremely crisp manner, without causing an ounce of boredom throughout the book. The author truly knows how to engage a customer and it goes without saying that he is able to engage the reader. Here is a list of keywords that are mentioned in the book: Platitude Phase A to Phase B Reticular activity Marketing equation Interrupt Activate Engage Educate Offer Hotbuttons Confidence Gao Inside reality vs external reality Strategic vs tactical marketing Educational spectrum Benefits of ownership Objections to ownership Vendor selection standards Accelerated discontentment Walldrugging |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-11-04 00:00:00 Anthony Beck This is the worst textbook I have ever read. There are sentences in this book that are so confusing that you end up memorizing wrong concepts. I suggest reading Publication 4491 by IRS first, or use it as a supplement, it makes it much easier to decipher what the author of Principles of Taxation actually means. |
