Review # 1 was written on 2015-01-25 00:00:00 Lonnie Mccroy I'm a journalist and I love to read about journalism. This wonderful compilation of sketches about journalists and journalism opens with a foreword by Tim Russert and just gets better from there. The first featured individual is Benjamin Harris, whose single-issue "Publick Occurrences" in 1690 was the earliest American newspaper and the last one is Bill Gates, who looked ahead in his 1995 memoir to the new "Web-based journalism" with which we're all familiar today. In between is an historical array that, to me, reads like poetry. If I had more stars I'd award them!
